Hi!

My name is Asael Shabo and I'm 15 years old.

Back in 2002 I was watching TV with my 5 year-old brother Avishai when a terrorist gunman burst into our family living room, spraying bullets in every direction.

My mother Rachel and 3 brothers were brutally murdered in the attack.

I was badly hurt, but played dead behind the couch and waited for our soldiers to rescue me.

I knew Avishai died, because I heard him stop crying.

My right leg was amputated. I thought that I would never be able to do the thing I most loved to do - sport.

I spent two long years in hospital.

Today I am involved in many sports. I swim, water ski, sail, cycle, play soccer and basket ball.

My aim is to raise funds for other kids who, like myself, have suffered injuries in terror attacks and who would greatly benefit from your support.
